I believe that immigration strengthens Cook County. Our communities have been built by people who came here seeking opportunity, safety, and a better life. The same values that define the American spirit.
As a candidate for Cook County Board President, I support a pro-immigration, pro-freedom, and pro-human dignity approach. I reject fear-based politics that demonize immigrants or use government power to target families, neighbors, and workers who contribute to our local economy and culture.
Immigration is Not the Problem; Big Government Overreach Is
Authoritarian governments have used immigration as an excuse to expand surveillance, militarize communities, and erode civil liberties. I stand firmly against these abuses. A small, limited government should never have the power to tear families apart, violate due process, or treat people like political pawns.
Being pro-immigration does not mean supporting open borders or unchecked bureaucracy. It means recognizing that:
People have a right to seek a better life.
Local government should protect all residents, not partner with federal agencies to punish them.
Cook County should be a place where hard work and human dignity are respected, regardless of one’s place of birth.
We should streamline the process and simplify the legal pathways to opportunity and entrepreneurship for immigrants.
Economic Freedom Includes Immigrants
Small businesses, restaurants, healthcare workers, construction crews, childcare providers, our economy runs on the talent, drive, and grit of immigrants. When we support their success, we support a stronger Cook County.
I support policies that:
End county cooperation with federal deportation efforts.
Ensure immigrants can access basic services without fear.
Allow immigrant entrepreneurs to thrive without bureaucratic hurdles.
Promote cultural respect and community integration, not division.
A County that Welcomes, Not Wields Power
The government should never use fear as a means to intimidate or coerce. I will fight to make Cook County a place that welcomes newcomers, honors our immigrant roots, and upholds the values of liberty and justice for all.
I’m not running to build a bigger government, I’m running to create a freer one. That means rejecting authoritarianism in all forms, including when it targets immigrants.
If you believe Cook County should stand for compassion, opportunity, and freedom, not intimidation and red tape, then I’m your candidate.
