I believe the first step in protecting reproductive rights is ensuring proper, comprehensive sex education. When people especially young people have accurate information about their bodies, relationships, and health, they are better equipped to make responsible choices and prevent unintended pregnancies.
I also believe that reproductive rights are human rights, and they are not the government’s business.
As a candidate for Cook County Board President, I stand firmly for the right of individuals to make their own reproductive health decisions without interference from politicians, bureaucrats, or law enforcement. Whether it’s about birth control, abortion, IVF, or family planning, these are deeply personal choices that should be made by individuals in consultation with their doctors, not dictated by government mandates.
Small Government Means Government Out of Your Body
If we believe in limited government, that principle must apply across the board, including to reproductive rights. You cannot claim to support freedom while endorsing laws that force people to carry pregnancies against their will. That’s not freedom. That’s authoritarianism.
I oppose government intrusion into:
Decisions about whether and when to have children
Access to birth control and emergency contraception
Safe and legal abortion care
Gender-affirming healthcare for adults
Privacy between patients and healthcare providers
Cook County Must Be a Safe Haven for Reproductive Healthcare
While Cook County does not control federal or state abortion laws, we can and must protect and expand access locally. That means:
Funding and supporting public health clinics that offer comprehensive reproductive care
Refusing to cooperate with out-of-state investigations or prosecutions related to abortion
Partnering with nonprofits to provide services and support for people seeking care
Defending the right of providers to practice without harassment or criminalization
My Stance Is Clear
I am pro-choice
I am pro-privacy
I am anti-authoritarian
And I trust individuals, not government, to control their bodies and lives
The same government that can force a person to give birth is the same government that can later decide who cannot. That is why reproductive freedom must be a cornerstone of any true liberty movement.
I am running to protect your rights, not regulate them. If you believe in personal freedom, privacy, and bodily autonomy, I’m with you.
